Saina Nehwal wins Hong Kong Super Series

The 20-year-old Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal defeated Shixian Wang of China  at the Hong Kong Open in Wanchai .

The girl from Hyderabad won back-to-back titles -- Indian Open Grand Prix, Singapore Open Super Series and defended the Indonesian Super Series -- before clinching the gold medal in the Commonwealth Games in October here.

With this resounding victory, she has become the first Indian to get number one ranking in badminton.

The win also be of some comfort after Saina's disappointing Asian Games ouster last month where she was a strong medal hope, but returned empty handed, having lost to Yip Pui Yin of Hong Kong in the quarterfinals. She avenged her defeat with a ruthless performance against Pui in the quarterfinals.

The win in Hong Kong will  further motivated her to achieve success at the 2012 London Olympics .
